Senior/Staff Full Stack Engineer

Lime AI is building AI-enabled tools to transform healthcare workflows, with a special focus on home health and hospice. Our products combine large language models with purpose-built web applications to help clinicians and healthcare businesses save time, reduce costs, and improve care quality.

We're a growing team of 10, with customers already using our platform in production — including some of the largest health networks across the U.S. Our team is led by a second-time exited Y Combinator founder and the former top enterprise salesperson at high-growth startup Gong, alongside a stack of highly capable engineers.

🤓 As Staff Full Stack Engineer, the company expects you to perform the following tasks:

This is a hands-on engineering leadership role. You'll manage a team of engineers while also shipping meaningful code yourself across the full stack. You'll own critical infrastructure, drive technical decisions, and work directly with the founding team to execute the product roadmap.

• Lead a team of engineers: run standups, sprint planning, and code reviews. Set priorities, unblock teammates, and drive delivery.
• Own and maintain our integration layer, including EMR compatibility (HCHB, WellSky, MatrixCare), message queues, and complex third-party data pipelines.
• Build and scale features across our React + Node.js + PostgreSQL + AWS stack, including mobile (React Native, iOS, Android).
• Design frontend components with Next.js and Tailwind CSS that present extracted patient data cleanly and intuitively.
• Manage infrastructure using Terraform on AWS, keeping the stack reliable and scalable as we grow.
• Enhance backend workflows to support new product features and data routing.
• Collaborate closely with the founding team to execute the product roadmap.
• We use redacted and synthetic data during development -- we handle compliance so you can focus on engineering.

✨ You are the person they are looking for if you have...

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with demonstrated experience leading and managing engineering teams
• Expert-level knowledge of our stack: React (web + mobile), React Native or native iOS/Android, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS
• Strong experience with Terraform and managing production infrastructure on AWS
• Deep technical comfort with systems-level work: message queues, third-party integrations, and complex async workflows
• High code quality bar -- comfortable reviewing and merging PRs and holding the team to strong engineering standards
• Excited to work with an AI-enabled stack and build great software alongside a highly technical team
• Available to work during US time zones
• Bonus: Prior experience in healthcare, home health, or HIPAA-regulated environments
