🤓 As Sr. IT Services Infraestructura Engineer, the company expects you to perform the following tasks.

The Senior IT Services Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for maintaining, modernizing, and transforming the compute, storage, and information protection platforms that support Hunt’s global managed services.

This role focuses on core infrastructure systems, including architecture, design, and implementation of networking, servers, storage, and data protection technologies, both in physical and cloud environments

Key Responsibilities

• Participate as part of the IT Services technical team and collaborate across all organizational levels.
• Gather business technical requirements and lead brainstorming sessions and war rooms.
• Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and drive requirements development.
• Troubleshoot and resolve major incidents while implementing preventive measures.
• Collaborate with external consultants on infrastructure implementations.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business leadership.
• Prioritize tasks independently based on business needs.
• Report regularly to the Managed Services Supervisor and IT Services Director on issues, escalations, and resource needs.
• Provide recommendations for service improvements.
• Lead the development of new products and solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior team members.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• 7+ years in senior IT engineering roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Networking, or related fields.
• Cloud technologies: AWS, Azure (management).
• Identity & Access Management: EntraID (AAD) and Active Directory.
• Virtualization technologies: VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, Horizon View; Microsoft Hyper-V; Nutanix AHV/Acropolis.
• Citrix virtual apps and desktops.
• Linux server configuration and management.
• Storage solutions: Pure Storage FlashArray, FlashBlade, NAS.
• Data protection tools: VEEAM, Cohesity, hyperconverged solutions, backup & recovery strategies.
• Patch management: Tanium, SCCM, WSUS.
• Monitoring tools: SolarWinds (scaling, SLA management, auto-remediation).
• Scripting: Python, PowerShell.
• Disaster recovery planning.
• ITIL and change management best practices.
• Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
• Basic security knowledge: Firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto), VPN, VLANs, SSL/TLS, encryption, anti-malware, digital certificates.

Desired certifications:

• Microsoft Azure, CompTIA Network+, Security+, Server+
• CCNA, VMWare VCP
• ITIL, cybersecurity-related certifications
