Co-Founder Lead developer Gastronom

Gastronom is a growing job platform in the gastronomic industry, currently functional and actively used by clients. We are accelerating how restaurants hire to counter-rest the effects of average staff rotation of 30% in restaurants in Mexico.

We’re at an exciting phase where we need to enhance our product with new features while maintaining the reliability of our existing platform. As we expand, we're looking for a Co-Founder Lead Developer who can take over the technical leadership and drive the product to the next level.

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Developer who will step into the role left by our previous co-founder and programmer. This individual can join as either a freelance developer or a co-founder with equity. The primary responsibility will be to lead the development efforts, enhance the existing platform, and work closely with the founders to ensure the technical vision aligns with the business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Take full ownership of the technical side of Gastronom, leading the development of new features and maintaining the current system.
• Feature Development: Develop, test, and deploy new functionalities based on business requirements and user feedback.
• Code Maintenance: Ensure the existing codebase is well-maintained, efficient, and scalable.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the founding team to align technical goals with business objectives.
• Product Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in the system’s performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Team Building (if applicable): As the platform grows, help build and manage a development team if needed.
• Innovation: Stay updated with the latest technologies and bring innovative solutions to improve the product.

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience as a full-stack developer, ideally with a background in Ruby on Rails.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and database management (SQL). Experience with cloud hosting (preferably DreamHost) is a plus.
• Leadership: Ability to lead a project from a technical standpoint, with previous experience in leading or managing teams being a bonus.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a focus on finding efficient and scalable solutions.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into business language.
• Equity/Investment Mindset: Willingness to invest time and possibly resources in exchange for equity in a growing company.

Requisitos: Para tener éxito en este rol, los candidatos deben cumplir con los siguientes criterios: - Experiencia Profesional: Mínimo 3 años de experiencia trabajando como Desarrollador Full Stack, con un historial comprobado de proyectos exitosos o un proyecto impresionante que demuestre tu habilidad para trabajar en equipo. - Habilidades Técnicas: - Dominio de Ruby on Rails, tanto en frontend como en backend. - Experiencia con bases de datos SQL y NoSQL, preferiblemente PostgreSQL y MongoDB. - Conocimientos sólidos en diseño y desarrollo de APIs RESTful. - Familiaridad con sistemas de control de versiones, preferentemente Git. - Prácticas de Desarrollo: - Experiencia aplicando metodologías ágiles (Scrum o Kanban). - Comprensión de prácticas de CI/CD e implementación de pruebas automatizadas. - Habilidades Adicionales: - Capacidad para trabajar en entornos colaborativos y multidisciplinarios. - Excelentes habilidades de comunicación y solución de problemas. - Proactividad y disposición para aprender nuevas tecnologías.
