Founding Engineer – Fullstack & Automation | Hybrid (Bogotá, Colombia)

🤓 As a Founding Engineer, the company expects you to perform the following tasks

• Architect, design, and build full-stack features and platforms using JavaScript, TypeScript, and ReactJS.
• Lead the development of Cloud9’s AI automation engine, translating complex operational workflows into scalable software solutions.
• Own and improve automation systems using tools such as n8n and custom-built services.
• Design, develop, and maintain integrations with third-party providers, internal services, AI models, and LLM pipelines.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain services running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers, promoting code quality, scalability, and reliability.
• Partner with Product teams to define technical roadmaps and deliver high-impact features.
• Ensure architectural excellence across systems, including performance, observability, logging, resilience, data modeling, and integrations.
• Drive engineering best practices across CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and technical documentation.

✨ You are the person they are looking for if you have...

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript across both frontend and backend environments.
• Deep experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native architectures.
• Proven experience designing scalable software architectures, distributed systems, and complex integrations.
• Solid experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong knowledge of API development, REST, GraphQL, webhooks, and integration patterns.
• Experience with automation tools such as n8n or building workflow engines from scratch.
• Experience working with AI/LLM integrations, conversational agents, or automated decision-making systems, or a strong interest in these technologies.
• The ability to lead complex projects end-to-end while collaborating effectively with Product, Operations, and Leadership teams.
• A builder mindset with a strong sense of ownership, speed, clarity, and focus on impact.
