Senior Backend Engineer

🤓 As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll be expected to:

• Build, maintain, and scale high-performance backend services using Golang and PostgreSQL.

• Develop and integrate secure payment solutions, including Stripe, financial APIs, webhooks, and transaction workflows.

• Design and optimize RESTful and GraphQL APIs supporting the platform's frontend, financial infrastructure, and AI-driven features.

• Develop scalable microservices and distributed systems with strong observability, fault tolerance, and reliability.

• Optimize database performance, caching strategies, and asynchronous processing using PostgreSQL, Redis, and message queues.

• Implement secure authentication, authorization, encryption, and data protection practices.

• Collaborate with frontend engineers, AI engineers, and product stakeholders to deliver new features and improve existing systems.

• Debug, profile, and optimize backend services running in production.

• Take ownership of critical technical components, ensuring code quality, scalability, and long-term maintainability.

• Contribute to engineering best practices through code reviews, technical documentation, and mentorship.

✨ You're the person we're looking for if you have

• 5+ years of backend development experience, although exceptional candidates with 3–4 years of strong hands-on experience will also be considered.

• Hands-on production experience with Golang (ideally 1+ year), combined with a solid backend background in languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java.

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including database design, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.

• Experience integrating payment systems, financial APIs, or transaction processing platforms, ideally within fintech or payment-related environments.

• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservice-based architectures.

• Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalability, reliability, and fault tolerance.

• Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure, including Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, and message queues.

• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and backend security practices.

• Strong problem-solving skills, technical ownership, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with the Gin framework and GraphQL APIs.

• Familiarity with Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging technologies.

• Experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.

• Experience working on high-volume transactional systems where data consistency, security, and reliability are critical.

• Exposure to AI-powered products or integrations with AI/LLM-based systems.
