I automate stuff using technology to spend more time with my three cats (and my coffee). I consider myself a pragmatic mining engineer, developer, and fan of the Rust programming language (yes, I’m one of those). I specialize in designing scalable data systems and choosing the right technologies for the job. I have led innovative projects like Fleet Match and fleet management in both surface and underground mining. All while trying not to spill coffee on the keyboard. With my team, we’ve created advanced solutions like self-driving simulators for mining equipment and predictive models for production and fuel consumption. My skills range from programming in various languages, 3D development with OpenGL and Vulkan, to database management and artificial intelligence applied to mining. Yes, I’ve also programmed things about cats and coffee (because, why not?). I consider myself a polymath: a professional with the capacity and desire to learn everything and apply it in my field. Always on the lookout for the next big idea (or the next cup of coffee).
