In mining, oil & gas, energy, and advanced manufacturing, the most expensive engineering decisions are made before a prototype exists, before a test is run, before a single data point comes from the field. Multiphysics simulation closes that gap — but getting a technical organization to actually adopt it requires something specific: someone who understands the business side and can sit down with the engineering team without anyone having to translate. I got to that position from inside the ecosystem. I studied computational mechanics at COPPE, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, where I earned my M.Sc. and D.Sc. in civil engineering, and I worked directly at ESSS Colombia — the official ANSYS distributor for Latin America — managing the full software sales cycle and delivering technical training at basic, intermediate, and advanced levels across the ANSYS toolset. That experience taught me how engineering teams actually adopt a simulation platform, what technical objections surface before a deal closes, and how to build an argument that works for the engineering director and the procurement team at the same time. I complement that background with hands-on CFD practice, scientific computing, and active teaching in high-performance computing at EAFIT and Universidad de Medellín. Today I represent the ANSYS portfolio in Colombia as a Channel Partner of Techbrand, backed by ESSS.
