Alonso Ugalde Aguilar 👋

I’m a Senior Full Stack Engineer with 10+ years of experience building scalable software solutions across government, healthcare, and education. My background spans full stack development, systems leadership, and technical education, with hands-on expertise in .NET, TypeScript, Python, Node.js, Blazor, React, and cloud-based architectures. Throughout my career, I’ve led and contributed to high-impact digital initiatives that improve operations, decision-making, and user experience at scale. In Costa Rica’s Ministry of Public Education, I helped lead the rollout of strategic national systems such as SIRIMEP, SEA, and AprendizUp, supporting pedagogical mediation and student evaluation through technology. More recently, I’ve worked on modern engineering solutions in healthcare and digital services, including SMS and notification systems using tools such as Twilio, AWS, Azure Functions, RabbitMQ, ASP.NET, and React. I bring a combination of technical depth, product thinking, and leadership experience. I enjoy designing clean, reliable systems, solving complex problems, and building software that creates measurable impact. I’m also passionate about teaching and mentoring others, having served as a Computer Science Professor and being recognized multiple times as an outstanding professor. Currently, I’m continuing to strengthen my business and innovation perspective through an MBA in Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Toronto. I’m especially interested in opportunities where I can contribute to modern software teams, lead impactful projects, and help turn ambitious ideas into practical, high-value solutions.
